Bluetooth from macbook to mobile not connecting

Hi

Can someone shed some light on why I can't send a file from my MacBook Black to my mobile phone but i can send from the phone to the MacBook?

The devices are paired but they won't connect.

I can't browse my phone from my mac either.

Same applies to other mobiles and computers using bluetooth. I can receive files but can't send.

Bluetooth sharing is ticked in preferences also. Not sure what else to check.

Any ideas?

What kind of mobile? if its WinMo i could probably help if you explain a little more in depth. Also, can you connect to your cell phone's 'network' and share the internet connection?
