Exactly!Wait until Bluetooth 5 is here. See how things change then with wireless.
Version 5 is just around the corner and promises to be one hella upgrade!

Apologies but I have no idea what you're trying to say or how it relates to my quote.Well, there's no better way to encourage a manufacturer to get out of a low margin market and get into a high margin one, than record profits exceeding the thing they've been making.
So everyone that bought Bluetooth headphones did so because Apple is rumored to be removing the headphone jack on the iPhone 7? Wow!
What's more simple and minimal than zero cables?Missing those days where Apple was all about simplicity and minimalism (except the single port MacBook!)
What's your definition of "better"?
For me, it could simply be something as elementary as "no wires", as the convenience of that may well be worth other hassles such as having to charge it ever so often, supposedly worse sound quality etc. I have a pair of Jabra Move Bluetooth headphones and I find the sound quality is good enough for me that I am largely indifferent to further improvements in sound, and don't mind sacrificing that for other perks.
As a consumer, it is my right to buy what I feel best suits my needs. If Bluetooth headphones meet my needs better than wired headphones, then Bluetooth headphones are better (for me). At the end of the day, not all pros and cons are created equal, nor do consumers value them evenly.
I cannot say that has been my experience. I watch shows on my Apple TV using a pair of Bluetooth headphones and I honestly can't say I have noticed any sort of lag. Sound quality is pretty good as well.Don't know if anyone has answered already but yes there is lag. Just watched a movie using a UE Boom (Bluetooth 4.0 FYI) and it was quite irritating how the sound did not quite match up with mouths and such.
Edit: I'm curious why more people don't mention this problem, as I view it to be a very serious one. Do most people only listen to music with BT? Because watching videos or movies where the sound needs to match up it just can't cut it.

It worked for networking, and now it's taken for granted.

A cumbersome adapter for a wired headphone possibly? Having to carry 2 set of headphones, one that will work with my iPod and one with my iPhone...or at least a cable/adapter.
Having a useless lightning cable headphone that does not work on other apple products...
And BT never...ever....has connection issues, and I love dropouts while listening to my musicapart from that, wireless audio coming to an iPhone is perfect .......simple it is not, when you own multiple apple products, profit it is...
I don't know why it's taking so long either. I've tried to contact them on Twitter but no reply yet.
I found the Bose earphones you were on about and they are still on sale? https://www.bose.co.uk/en_gb/produc...port-wireless.html#v=soundsport_wireless_aqua
Where did guy hear about them being taken off sale? Perhaps these are the updated ones.
aww...c'mon....pissing contents over who controls the BT device are fun. Its always fun and enjoyable when it gets really bad to turn off BT on every device you have to get that sync you want on the one you actually do.
Despite some people's opinions...I am a strong apple use guy. iPads, phones, MBP's...hell I am so apple I shoot in Pro Res 422 lol. BT connection hell with my kid's BT toys across all this...I have been there, done that, got the shirt. Many of them in fact.
this why I liked my wired so much. My video work exports I test all devices post iTunes vid sync/dl. iPhone, iPad (regular and mini) and mbp.
Wired makes this so much easier...watch on 1 device, unplug earphones and on to next device, watch, unplug to next device...watch. Bit anal maybe, I do it so when people say video looks funny I can ask what device so at lest apple devices are cleared before I release to public.
Wired this is a breeze. BT if I used it ....jsut not digging BT swipe games on and off the whole time.
Apple I think in secret owns shares or patents to label makers. To resolve BT issues for what I have in this realm...I had to break down and buy one. Device A mated to apple device A...label as such.
So 83% of headphones are wired.
That's about Android's market share. Figures.
Absolutely LOVE my wireless Beats headphones. They're perfect for the gym, although I may next purchase the smaller earphones model, because I'm not a fan of running on the treadmill with the big wireless headphones
But, but, the internetz told me to hate on bluetooth headphones. You are telling me that consumers are slowly changing their perception and embracing wireless headphones?! Nilay and Macforums users told me that removing the 3.5mm headphone would not be acceptable... *existential crisis ensues*. /s
Ha! Adieu to that vestige of a port. Good riddance.
Feels good having your point of view validated with REAL data and not the usual disgusting display of emotions you see on here.
Shocker!
The days of the user hostile headphones cables are finally coming to an end.
Maybe. But BT replaces them with user hostile poor battery life (and yea! another gadget to remember to charge) in addition to, at best, mediocre sound compared to even $50 headphones or buds. Kind of a pyrrrhic victory, if any kind, or consumers if you ask me.
I run almost daily with corded earbuds. Never had a problem with cord management. Never had a problem with radio interference. Never had a problem of dead battery. Always get fantastic appropriately bright and full sound.

I believe the Apple TV syncs the video and sound somehow. I know it does for AirPlay at least.I cannot say that has been my experience. I watch shows on my Apple TV using a pair of Bluetooth headphones and I honestly can't say I have noticed any sort of lag. Sound quality is pretty good as well.
Been a great experience so far.
How is "poor"? My Powerbeats2 last as long as a week; as for "remembering to charge", it doesn't take a rocket scientist to envision a BT headsets that charges from the phone's Lightning port, à la Pencil.
A cord, on the other hand, is a massive disadvantage; you're only so used to it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome
Um....I can't even....since there is no way that the electronics fail within 2 years due to "natural causes".
With the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, Apple plans to eliminate the headphone jack, requiring consumers to rely on Lightning adapters...
