bluetooth icon not showing up in the menu bar

Hi everyone.

My bluetooth icon has all of a sudden stopped showing up in the menu bar, and it isn't visible in system preferences either. I have tried a restart with no luck. Any ideas how I could recover this?

Go to System Preferences>Blue Tooth. Then down the bottom click the box that says "Show Bluetooth Status in Menu Bar".

What kind of Mac are you using?

yeah like I said, no bluetooth icon in the system preferences

I've seen it happen many times to some of the older aluminum MBP's. Usually a shut down/restart fixes it, but if it continuously happens then there may be a problem.

this just happened to me. i did a restart and nothing. anyone else have an answer? I reallllly dont want to have to reinstall leo
