Hi, apologies if this already sounds absurd being about such outdated hardware and a mixture of weird things.

I've had several iPads, and I've had different Bluetooth keyboards working perfectly, all Logitec, no problems at all. Also tried other stuff even with the option to switch between Android and iOs, no problem.

The thing is...
I still have 2 iPad Mini, and by error I got a brand new Huawei Bluetooth folding Keyboard. This thing works great on every single device I have tested wit it, be it Android, Windows, etc., but it never appears on the iPad Mini, yes, these are the old models.

Naturally, I accepted the incompatibility due to newer Bluetooth vs older Bluetooth.

However, by curiosity I checked the Bluetooth version on different compatible devices, and it's Bluetooth 4, same as the iPad Mini, so... I'm surprised this thing works on every other device except the iPad Mini.

Yes, I can buy something else, but I would like to inform myself. These iPads remain as great tools for me due to their long lasting battery life and being awesome for writing (when I can connect the keyboards)

Is this some on purpose blocking by Apple on purpose? in order to make money from specially branded or certified hardware?
