I am having an intermittent issue with my BT Keyboard on startup. It will boot up and I occasionally get a message saying my system cannot detect the keyboard. It's not on every boot up but every say 1 in 3 to 5.

I simply recycle the keyboard's power switch and functionality is restored. The power LED on the back isn't illuminated when I begin the procedure

I am just curious on if there is an underlying issue I could be missing.

Batteries are fairly new and my Keyboard preferences window says battery life is good. This issue is simply isolated to the keyboard and not the mouse.

Thank you.

Is this the Apple keyboard? Try changing the batteries all the same. They mightn't be giving sufficient power.

The batteries are all the same. Yes, this is the OEM Apple BT Keyboard that came with the machine.

Although I'm using one of the nice new ultra-slim aluminum keyboards, my previous keyboard was BT and occasionally it could not be found by my Mac Pro ..🙁
(even with new batteries !!)

Would you recommend the purchase of one?
