As the title says, I'm in the market for a bluetooth mouse. The idea of wires with a laptop just irks me to no end...

3 buttons w/scroll wheel are needed.

If only Apple would release the Mighty Mouse BT already.
(anyone have any inside on when they may?)

In the same vien, has anyone used the Logitech MX1000 BT mouse? Or more directly the MX5000 BT desktop (keyboard included). I know there is no direct support for Mac, but it has been my experience that the Logitech products work fairly well without full support. You might not be able to take advantage of all the functionality, but...

I have the MX900 BT mouse, and could not be happier.

No good recommendations.

And I wouldn't even recommend the Mighty Mouse to anyone due to the way the left and right buttons work. It's not an ergonomic design.

I haven't tried either of those, but then I've never had too much luck with any Logitech peripherals. Perhaps time to give them a second chance?

OTOH, I have had tremendous success with Kinsington mice- but they don't offer the 'Studio Mouse' in BT.

I highly recommend the MS bluetooth mouse (5 button) IF you have a mac with an internal bluetooth module. It's been kind of annoying on my G5 with a d-link adapter - takes a long time to use after waking from sleep, sometimes loses connection, can't use the mouse to wake the computer. But on my ibook with an internal module it performs absolutely flawlessly in every way.

Logitech has something you may be interested in that is supposed to hit the market within the next couple weeks. It is called the v270 and it is a bluetooth mouse that ships without a receiver. It has 3 buttons(with 1 of them being the mouse wheel) and is a little bit smaller than the average mouse as to fit in a laptop bag. It also has an on off switch on the bottom of it and suppposably has a battery life of a couple months.

This is the BT mouse I have been looking for. All the BT mouse I can see in the market do not have the on/off switch. Now, this Logitech v270 has that switch. I like my v500 mouse; but, I has to insert a USB dongle for RF connection. But, this BT mouse should be more easier to set up with the notebook on the road.
