I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina (early 2015) running El Capitan 10.11.6. Lately I've been having trouble with the bluetooth. Right now the bluetooth icon in the menu bar says "Bluetooth Not Available." There is also no Bluetooth panel in System Preferences. When I search under Library/Preferences...there is no "com.apple.bluetooth.plist" file.

What else should I try before resetting the SMC?

Thanks!

Nothing. SMC and NVRAM resets sounds like a good idea as some of the first things to try.
Failing that, update to Sierra which should also fix any software issues in the process.

Tried SMC, NVRAM, and PRAM resets...and upgraded to Sierra. Bluetooth still not available. Suggestions?
