bluetooth not available

I don't understand. Sometimes when I start up my 17" MBP I'm prompted in the menu bar that the bluetooth is not available. On other times it's available, but after several minutes the connection is lost. Can someone explain what's going?

It's a hardware issue, take it to the Apple store and they'll fix it.
