I have been having trouble connecting my iPad to my apple bluetooth keyboard. After i disconnect my keyboard from my Mac mini and turn on the bluetooth on the ipad, the iPad does not recognize the keyboard and just sits on the loading screen. I have left it on for about one hour and the iPad never recognizes the keyboard. Am i doing something wrong? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

I've tried turning the keyboard on and off several times.

    Strange...

I have the aluminum wireless mini-keyboard and I can switch it from a mac, to a pc, and then to my iPad...

I have the keyboard manual in front of me...and it says you 'have' to remove the pairing first. I don't remember doing this but that's straight from the manual (and my iMac is more than 33 feet from my iPad).

    1. On the mac the keyboard is currently paired with, choose Apple :)apple:) > System Preferences, the click bluetooth.
    2. Select the wireless keyboard on the left side of the bluetooth preference pane.
    3. Click the Delete (-) button in the lower left corner.

Pair the keyboard with your new device.

That worked, thanks alot. After I paired it with the Ipad the first time it connects no problem now when switching between my desktop or the Ipad.
