I use ventrilo for mac to talk to people online (in a game, and also to my boyfriend, as it's free and long-distance calls to toronto are not). there is the option of designating a key as a push-to-talk button, but before I bought my macbook pro, we both just left those off, like a phone. now, I have horrible clicky noises in the background. it's entirely possible that my headset is causing the problem (I bought a headset with a usb adapter, didn't like the headset, kept the adapter and plugged an older headset into it, rather than using the built-in mic, which picked up all my keystrokes and made people's ears bleed 😡).

so! what I want to do is find a set of comfortable headphones that actually work with no creepy feedback. I thought about the skype mac starter kit, but earbuds don't always fit my ears well, and I don't know if you can return earbuds, that seems gross. if anyone has any suggestions, my requirements are:

behind the head/neck
swivel/adjustable (bendy) mic boom
not more than say, $60 US (I'm a college kid, have pity)

I am interested in bluetooth, but I will try whatever. something that works.

also, if anyone is familiar with ventrilo for mac, would you help me make sure I have it all set up properly??

thanks so much!
