Bluetooth poor range MacBook Air

Hi, I have a problem with my MacBook Air. Bluetooth range is poor. When I use AirPods or other headset I have to have head near the keyboard to hear anything. Is it problem with bluetooth modem or is it software issue? AHT says that everything is ok

Does this only happen with air pods or does it happen with other Bluetooth headsets?

Still there are some problems (intermittent audio) but it is way better than AirPods. In the same distance AirPods doesn't work. It's curious why AirPods are so bad.


Moreover I tried almost everything. Clean install of Mac OS. Resetting PRAM SMC AirPods Bluetooth model

I'm not sure but maybe the Bluetooth/Wifi card affects range?
