I was finally able to get my Jawbone II to pair with the iPhone, and I also have it paired with my car. The problem is that the bluetooth signal seems to be of poor quality. The Jawbone is supposed to work up to 33 feet, but the signal got choppy after about 20 feet. I have also been getting complaints from people about my signal cutting out even through I have 5 bars of signal. It could be on their end, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this? I was thinking that maybe my phone just has a weak bluetooth transceiver.

Try exchanging the Jawbone II. If you have another bluetooth device compatible with iPhone, test the transceiver with that. If it works good then it's the headset, if it's choppy then it's the iPhone and you'll need to take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store.

Bluetooth is a radio device, the 33 feet is under ideal conditions. If your conditions aren't ideal you won't get 33 feet. The 33 feet is that it will also maintain contact with the device for 33 feet it doesn't mean that fidelity will be perfect at 33 feet.
