Hello everyone

I'm looking for a new speaker for in my bathroom. It should be wireless (bluetooth or airplay) and cost between 120-180€ (130$-190$). I was looking around the web and found some:
  • Bose Soundlink Mini II
  • Riva S
  • Riva Turbo X
  • JBL Charge 3
  • ...
If any of you knows something better or has one personally and would like to give his opinion about it I really thank you for your time.

Thanks in advance.

I have a Soundlink Mini and a Mini Jambox. The Mini Jambox is my go-to for travel, whereas the SoundLink Mini, while small, isn't as portable. The Jambox has next to no base, but surprisingly good sound for a hotel room, or small room and is ultra portable and battery lasts a long time. The Soundlink Mini has tremendous bass, but is bigger\heavier, and shorter battery.

If you're just going to use it for the bathroom and size\weight don't matter, get a Soundlink 3. It's the best bluetooth on the market. If size matters but you want great sound, the Soundlink Mini. If you just want super small and decent sound, the Jambox Mini

Logitech UE Boom 2.

Great design, great sound, great battery life (15 hours), IPX7 rated, pairs with 2 devices for quick switching, can be turned on and off via app. Can be play together with another UE Boom 2 for stereo sound or just to fill a larger area.

Check out the reviews.

I own a UE Boom 1, love it.

They have exclusive designs/patterns at Apple Store online.

Thanks for your opinion. The sound link III is a bit to big for my bathroom as I would like it but it does look tempting.. The Jambox Mini is the ideal size and looks promising.

Knew about The UE Boom 2 problem is the 360° audio coming from it. Plan on setting it in a corner against the wall so don't think it is a good option.

There’s one side of the UE Boom which is covered in thick plastic from where I don’t think any sound comes out of (I do know about the 360º sound marketing that they have). Set that side to the corner, and also some sound will bounce of the corner in the right direction :p

But what do I know, I’m not a sound engineer :D

Really nice speaker though. Good luck in your purchase!

One thing to point out... much of the sound quality of these speakers rely on how you place them. The Bose SoundLink Mini and Jambox Mini I have both sound 100x better when placed close but not against a wall. It enhances the bass on both devices, and overall sound quality. I'm not sure if you're close to a Best Buy or Apple store (which sells all 3), but why not buy all 3, test drive them in the bathroom, and return whichever you don't prefer?

Listening in store is useless. I always laugh when I'm in a store and walk by the speaker displays and someone's got one cranked all the way up trying to hear the difference.

I got this cheap Seedforce on amazon over the summer for like $25 and have it in my shower. Battery last forever and the damn thing is very loud. However it's currently unavailable but maybe you can find it elsewhere. I've seen it sold on other sites rebranded under different names (amazon currently has a similar one listed under TaoTronics, but it's only 3 watts). It's cheap, yet powerful. No need to spend big bucks in the bathroom. For me, the Seedforce definitely works well and is plenty loud.
