All iPads Bluetooth stylus and battery drain

Hello community!

I'm using an iPad 9th gen for note-taking and highlighting mainly.
I'm experiencing some warming (nothing to worry about) and some battery drain, which I believe is due to Apple Pencil connection and utilization.
I guess other stylus (non-bluetooth) would help, at least, to save some battery.
What are your experience?

I think an alternative to the Apple Pencil would be a good alternative, it doesn't make any difference when used together, and it's very cheap
