Hi guys
My wife and I just got a new MacBook pro and I'm having a problem with Bluetooth tethering. We both have iPhone4's on the latest iOS. I have been able to pair my phone and tether it to access my 3G Internet wirelessly. When I try to pair my wife's phone the iPhone is unable to find the MacBook. I can go on the MacBook and click set up a Bluetooth device and the MacBook finds the iPhone and sends the passcode to the iPhone. A pop up comes up on the iPhone asking me to authenticate the passcode. I click agree and they attempt to pair but another pop up comes up and says that they were unable to pair. Her phone will tether using USB with no problem.

We are on the bell Network in Canada and tethering is included with our data plans.

I've been searching google and forums for a few days and have not found anything.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

figured it out

When you click set up bluetooth device on the mac it sends a passcode to the iphone. You have to click agree on the iphone to start the pairing process and then click continue on the macbook to alow them to pair. I can't recall doing this on the first iphone when I set it up but I must have. anyhoo, its fixed and I am bluetooth tethering this post.
