Tonight I attempted to share my aircard's internet connection over the airport (WiFi) in my Macbook Pro. After setting it up as usual the iPad would obtain an IP address but have no connection to the internet.

Much to my surprise I was able to tether the iPad to the Macbook Pro via bluetooth and share the connection over the Bluetooth PAN.

Just thought I'd pass this along if anyone else was having the problem I encountered and wanted an alternative way to connect their iPad to the internet.

I've had the same problem come & go with my mobile hotspot (non jailbroken). The Bluetooth works fine albeit slower than the sometimes hit & miss WiFi.
