Just updated from Apple Watch 7 to 9. Body temperature isn’t working. It’s been over 5 days and I do activate sleep schedule at night. I see a temperature in my athlytic app but none on the health app. I’m not impressed w the upgrade so far so I will probably return. This was the one thing I was kind of excited for but I don’t notice much difference at all. 😑

give it time ...the Health app does have a section for body temp - what does it say?

And if you scroll to the bottom, what does it say for data sources? Is your watch listed?
Watch isn’t listed and I don’t see how to add it. But thank you it’s a start for me to figure it out.

Ok, so make sure that sleep tracking with AW is enabled in the watch app and then check your sleep focus settings on iPhone

Your looking at wrong temperature. It should be wrist temperature, not body temperature.

Body temperature is for when using devices like a Withings thermometer connected to Health.

In the health app, wrist temperature seems to be in the Body Measurements section.

Took 5 days of sleeping with the watch for mine to activate.

FYI, it only shows 'variation from baseline' and not a specific calibrated temperature from what I can tell. But still can be useful as anything more than 2°F from baseline apparently is when it becomes significant.

when you go into the "show all data" section you can see actual temperature ...

Also to chime in here, I just got my Series 9 yesterday and I wore my watch overnight. Of course there is no data yet, but when I scrolled to "Show all Data" my actual wrist temperature is showing at 8am this morning. I think its important to note that 8AM is when I have my sleep focus turn off.

thank you. You are correct!!!! Problem solved. I didn’t even see the separate wrist temp setting.
good, I had added "wrist temperature" to my favorites in the Health app I guess when I got my Ultra last year, didn't even know there's a "body temperature" there too ;)
