Has anyone seen this problem?

My daughter's Mac Mini (Intel CD) sleeps ok, but when it wakes it does a hard reset.

Short sleeps are fine. Long sleeps and Bong!

Are you sure the power isn't getting disconnected when it's asleap?

I'm sure. This is a regular occurance. (Pretty much every night)
The white light does its pulsing thing.

I've done all the usual maintenance tasks.

Is youre "Restart after power failure" enabled in Energy Saver?

It may be a funky power supply - either in the Minis supply itself, or a power strip or the wall.

I'll check this. And I am inclined to believe that is some kind of hardware fault.

But the power supply works consistently while the machine is on. And the sleep light is pulsing prior to waking the machine with a mouse-click.

That is weird. My daughter's Mac Mini solo has just started doing the same today (well, actually, as soon as I tell it to Sleep, it reboots). Though I bought it from Toys R Us (november last year), would I be okay to take it to an Apple store? Would they look at it and if necessary repair it?

The more I think about it, the more I don't know what's happening.

You still have your install disks? I'd run your Hardware test.
