So I was setting up a money market account with my new laptop, that I have not added my wireless printer to (Which is an absolute pain in the ass to do for Peecee) and I needed to print out some paper work. I steeled myself for having to look up the IP address again since my father sometimes turns off the printer and it loses it's IP address which disables it from working on the PC's.

To my utter delight, Bonjour rolled in, configured the printer and printed it in 5 seconds flat. I was stunned.

We're going to be a Mac family now.

What exactly does Bonjour do? Always confused me...
Bonjour (formerly known as rendezvous) is apple's name for zeroconf. Put simply zeroconf is a framework for networked computers devices and services to find each other automatically, i.e. without additional configuration.

Bonjour is used for networked printers on Mac networks as well as shared iTunes/iPhoto libraries.
