This case is so cool, when the iPhone 5 comes out, I might wait for a Bookbook case to be released before I upgrade. And I always upgrade!! iPhone 4 is a rocking phone, so it will make it easier.....though 8MP camera would be cool, and a 3.8" screen, and...!
Just got mine !!!! wow it sure doesn't disappoint that's for sure. Love it. Fits everything and even more than the Beya case I had for my 3Gs. Can't recommend this highly enough.
Well I waited till this case arrived before upgrading to the iphone 4 which I did on Friday!!! They would be stupid not to make a version to fit the 5 when it ever does get released.
If they find it necessary and a lot of people demand it, maybe they will release one for the iPhone 5
I really want this case but I have 2 problems with it.....
1. I love my Mophie battery case. I couldn't make it through the day without the extra battery life
and 2nd....probably the biggest factor keeping me from buying it....This thing came out way too late in the iPhone 4's life cycle. With the iPhone 5 just around the corner in a couple of months, I would hate to have to buy another case for the new version.
I'll just wait....but i'm so tempted.

Seems there has been an overwhelming interest in the bookbook iphone case they are out of stock on the 12 South site and Amazon.com has it listed but they have a 2-4 week time line for supplying. So glad I got mine

Thanks for all the posts, it made my decision really simple.
I got my BookBook last night at the Fairview Mall Apple store in Toronto.
...they have several in stock and at $59.95 CDN it's cheaper than buying online
It's simply a great iPhone case (no complaints)!

After having and using it for a week, I can honestly say that I love it. The leather is quality, and the scratches and marks I'm accumulating on the front and back covers just add to the "old book" look.
Not having a camera hole hasn't been an issue at all. The moment it takes to load the camera app is just enough time for me to pop my phone out to snap a picture.
For anyone looking for this type of case, I'd recommend the BookBook in a heartbeat. Definitely money well spent.

Oh, wow! Such an interesting case and from the reviews and comments left from others, I am so drawn to this BookBook case. What to do. I am contemplating right now...
I have had mine about 2 weeks now and have some observations. I still like it,but can see some shortfalls. Not so much on the product, as the application/use.
1. It is a BIT thick for a upfront pocket. Some pants are better than others depending on length and width of pocket.
2. A necessary evil - but having everything invaluable in one spot means you better not lose it. Between some things on my phone and all my ID in one spot, don't leave it behind/lost/stolen or your life has just been turned upside down And because of #1, I usually take it out and set it down, when I sit down, meaning I better not walk away without it.
3. holding up fine - edges bent like a wallet - ok with me.
4. Gotta take it out overnight to fit into my charging stand - again no prob, but still have to do it. Which means I pick it up real quick on my desk to use it and if I drop it, I have no protection...This goes for also a serious photo taking session, I remove it and then hence , unprotected again.
5. then there is the Bible/Koran comment I've heard enuf of...lol

wow....i really like the concept! I mean the price is reasonable i guess..Phone case+ Wallet for $59..dont we all spend at least $30 for decent wallet? i shall try this
Just got back from visiting the apple Vancouver store. They have the case in stock but they aren't putting it out on the shelves they have enough people phoning in and requesting them. So best to phone your local apple store and ask them or if you do drop in ask even if its not on the shelf. They will hold it if you phone in for that day only.
VERY easily cleaned up with a leather treatment conditioner like Kiwi clear cleaner...will make it look uniform and rich ...
I am sure you are right, but I would expect a brand new case should come in pristine condition.
