Sorry, I had no idea what to title this post.

I telnet into my school's system a number of times every day (especially when I'm stalking a hot girl... nothing like the "finger"... heh heh :D). Anyway, is there a way I can make it so I just click an icon on the dock and it automatically runs the telnet command? (Even better, can I tell it to automatically type in my user id and password, like some MUD clients will?)

Umm... what exactly is that... and how do I do it?

Create a text file (bbedit or whatever).... and type in the command you want... for example:

telnet the.server.name

save it.

go to terminal, type "chmod +x filename"

do Get Info on it, and choose Open With....
and choose Terminal.

This will launch terminal and execute that command when u double click on it. You can do it where it will log in for you - but that requires actual script programming...

if you add the file extention .command instead of .txt then it will also automatically open up in the terminal when double clicked
