Does anyone else have this issue? Tried to search forums here and on google, and I've found one thread from Apple discussion forums about it with no resolution: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1469793

I say resolution because it never did this until this morning, unless I'm totally tripping out. Let me know if you guys have this same issue.

It's not an issue. If you close all the pages in Safari... then Safari will quit running in the background when you close it. Upon opening Safari again is like re-launching it instead of just bringing it to the front. The default behavior when you open Safari for the first time on a blank page, it gives you the bookmarks. This is not an issue or a bug, it's just the way it was designed.

Yeah, I'll agree with the OP that this "feature" is pretty annoying.
