Well my iPhone is blocked from the WiFi here at work, even though I have my charger with me, so I'm getting a failed message when looking for the update. Usually for iOS updates it'll still find them and just not let you download them without WiFi...

Lucky for me I live close enough to work I can scurry home during my lunch break and get it done

Wow! Newly exchanged watch (Space Black, exchanged Space Gray Sport) and as I was setting it up I noticed the update was available. Might as well go big or stay at home, downloading now!

Is the charger confirmed to be an absolute necessity? I know it used to say that for the iPhone too, but then it would let you ignore it as long as it had over 50% battery.

Mine is almost done downloading and it's not connected to a charger. Was at 80% when it started.

It keeps telling me I'm not connected to the Internet. I'm pretty sure I'm typing this on the Internet right now. I turned wifi off and back on twice and cellular data once.

All of a sudden mine started downloading faster about 2 min ago after going extremely slowly for 20 minutes. (*knocks on wood)
