I recently bought a booq vyper m3 for my unibody 15" mbp. It is advertised to work with this macbook, I mean I assume it was designed around it (the advertised interior dimensions of the case = unibody mbp exterior dimensions). However, the case seems too big, almost like it was designed for the previous generation mbp. It's just too thick, too big height wise inside.

I can tilt the case over and hear my mbp plop onto the other side of the case. I push down on the case and it presses down to fill the void that this unibody mbp doesn't fill. There are a couple of reviews on amazon that share this same experience. Are all Vyper M3's like this? I don't want to call Booq just to get another poorly designed case in return.

I've done my share of searching but nothing substantial has turned up on this subject. Any insight would be appreciated :)

No, they should fit quite well. Are you sure they shipped the right one? I would call them and have them replace it. It should fit snug, with no movement inside.

I guess I'll contact them

Actually, mine fit a tad loose than I would like. I think it's just how they were designed. Great case none-the-less.

I really do love the case, but the looseness throws me off. I called booq earlier and wow, top notch customer service. They are sending a new case no questions asked. I don't know if it'll change things (based on what you guys have said) but I really appreciate their effort in rectifying the situation.

Even if the second case is still loose, I will keep it nonetheless.

Old post I know, but I was wondering if the replacement was any better? Looking for a case/sleeve and am curious.

My MBP 15" is currently shipping, should have it in a few days.

I have purchased the Vyper M3 in advance so will let you know how it fits when it arrives.

Thanks. I actually received my MBP yesterday and ordered a Vyper M3 for it already. They both arrived yesterday as a matter of fact. Anyways, it is a very snug fit. So much that one side doesn't sit all the way down, but I think it all works out when it zips up.

I was also thinking of using a speck hard case along with the Vyper M3 or M3 GTR. Anyone done this and does it fit/work?

To update this thread:

The new one I received was still loose. Didn't really bother returning it. I quite like the case design, it just doesn't fit 100% (at least on the 15" unibody)

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone had anymore info on the MBP fitting the Vyper M3 with a Speck case on? Looks like a pretty great combination if i'm honest. Plus, with you guys mentioning the case being not as snug as you like, might this solve the problem?

my booq vyper fits very snug. in fact, so snug to the point where it won't fit over a hard case on the mbp

No incase sleeve offers the protection that the booq Vyper does.

A big +1 to GGJ's statement. I bike commute to work with my MBP in a Vyper slung across my back in a Chrome messenger bag. I have no doubts I could take a fall and my MBP would survive due to the Vyper case.

My Vyper M3 arrived in the post today. Just put my 15 uMBP in it, zipped it up- snug as you like.
Quality of the case is great. Very impressed.
I don't have the problem of hearing the MacBook "plop onto the other side of the case".
£30 from Amazon UK. Best purchase I've made for my MBP. I'll feel much safer commuting to college and back knowing my baby wil get there and back in tact! :D
