I don't have a booq sleeve, but I do have the now (possibly) discontinued Boa XS (laptop backpack). I love it. I feel like it is well constructed, sturdy, and purdy. :p

To the OP, I'm glad that it seems like booq is doing you right by sending you a replacement sleeve. Hope that one doesn't have any issues.

I bought an identical Vyper sleeve about 6 months ago after my laptop got squished and bent in my heavy backpack. It has worked better than I could hope for. I do notice that if its empty and I set books or something else heavy on top it will get slightly misshapen. It always goes right back to its old fit as soon as I zip my powerboook back inside. Good luck with you next one, it is nice to see that Booq is trying to help out!

I contacted Booq:

Booq is being really cool about it. I didn't buy it off of Booqbags.com, I got it from a local distributor over here who charges for delivery, even on refunds.

I think I'll ask them to ship me a new one. Thanks all.

Great to hear that they are willing to work with you. I hope they send you another one or a refund.

Let us know what you decide to do (exchange or refund).

I got my Vyper M today
Mine fits like a loose glove.
The zipper is tight but does not touch the corners of the powerbook.

My take on your predictiment, you are cramming your Powerbook into the Vyper XM, which is slightly smaller.
When they replace your Vyoer, you will see how the M really fits your 15" Powerbook.

For those of you unaware Booq now have the Vyper XXS which is especially made for the 12" Powerbook. I bought one and it certainly does fit my 12" Powerbook like a glove.

12" booq case

I got the 12" booq sleeve.
It wasn't as snug as advertised (room on top or bottom)

I stuck a mousepad in there, and things are snug now.

That case looks heat damaged or something. Better send it back if you can.

If all you need is a sleeve, then Waterfield sleeves are great...compact, well-fitting, built to last, and unmatched customer service . I've had one for months and my 12" PB shows not a single scratch or dent.

I really wanted to get one of those but at the time was too much. The reviews pretty much speak for themselves. Maybe in a couple more months, i'll get one.

I posted some pics of my booq viper m in here and love it. I use it quite a bit and have never had any problems. I also have my mac-case posted in there, but I like the booq a little better.
