So I downloaded Windows 7 eventually, and I burned the iso onto a DVD.

Then I went into Boot Camp Assistant to partion my HDD, and install it. But this came up.

I have tried rebooting and pressing alt, but no DVD comes up
What is wrong

Fail. You have to burn it so it isn't just a file. Use Disk Utility to make a disk from an ISO. :p

Wait, elaborate the last bit... What would I need to do to achieve this?
Before, I could just burn the ISO onto a disk, and it worked.

He means that you can burn an iso file to disk as it is. When you insert the disc you can see an .iso file on the disc, just as it is in your screen grab. If you want to burn the contents of the .iso file (get a bootable windows 7 DVD), you need to do it differently.

- Start Programs-Utilities-Disk Utility.
- Press 'Burn'

You can select an iso image to burn. After a succesful burn, you will have a bootable windows 7 DVD/CD if the image was correct to begin with.

Hope this helps.
