Boot Camp Assistant stops working Sep. 30?

This is the first I'm hearing about this supposed stop of Boot Camp on September 30th... I don't know if it's legit, or if Apple has change their policy since the writing of the article (it was written in April 2007).

Does anyone know anything about it? And if it is indeed true, how can I remove my Windows partition, if the need arises, once Boot Camp Assistant stops working?
