i have made a partition to install windows vista.

when i click on the windows partition to intall windows it says i cant use that partition.

Make sure you do not delete the partition and try to recreate it!! Believe me, this will mess everything up (or it did for me at least). As Tallest Skil said, just format it.

i just made it, and then the window says insert the windows xp disc and continue installation, so i did that, and it restarted me macbook. and it loaded the blue windows setup screen. now im just a little scared as to what to do next. can somebody tell me?

thanks, i just dont want to mess up my macbook and either lose all my files thats on the mac partition or mess up the harddrive.
