Having issues trying to install Boot Camp on my Late 2009 27" iMac i7 (iMac11,1) with AMD 4850HD GPU.

The point is to get Windows 8 installed (or 10), so I'm able to Flash a VBIOS for a new GPU (to replace my baked AMD card), following this thread.

This iMac has an optical drive, so Boot Camp wants to boot from an external disc - which is defunct and not operable anymore.

After reviewing other forums and MR, I've changed the Boot Camp property list (info.plist) using XCode to enable Windows 7 through 10 to be installed by USB (below).

Unfortunately though, I get to the point where I'm starting to install Windows and then get an error about the file format - to which it just ends and it doesn't install.

Changed info.plist:

Enabled settings to USB (I removed Win10 capability):

Creation of BOOT CAMP partition:

Into Windows installation and error:

Disk Utility shows the BOOTCAMP partition as NTFS (don't have an image of that).

If I Format the BOOTCAMP directory, the drive comes up like this:

I'm able to quit everything and reboot the computer (after either the 2 previous images) and hold the <OPTION> key to get:

If the USB with the Windows installer is run, I get the 2 errors during install - if I do the others, High Sierra or Apple Recovery run no problems - to which now there's an empty BOOTCAMP disk.

I also have a screenshot of the drives prior to install too:

Ideas/help would be appreciated!

Thanks-
