ok so i tried to partition my drive with the boot camp installer and i got this message saying

Verification failed. This disk could not be partitioned. Use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

When i went to the disk utility i got this message

    Verifying volume “Macintosh HD”
    Checking HFS Plus volume.
    Checking Extents Overflow file.
    Checking Catalog file.
    Checking multi-linked files.
    Checking Catalog hierarchy.
    Checking Extended Attributes file.
    Checking volume bitmap.
    Checking volume information.
    Volume Header needs minor repair
The volume Macintosh HD needs to be repaired.

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit

    1 HFS volume checked
    Volume needs repair

but the repair disk button isnt highlighted - im getting kinda frustrated... any ideas???

You can't repair the volume you're booted from. So pop in your OSX install CD, hold C during bootup to boot off that, then you can run Disk Utility from there and repair your drive
