I currently have 2 WD640 GB in software RAID 0 as my boot partition and an extra 320 GB (the default one on the early 2008 mac pro) on which I would like to install Windows Vista x64. Problem is that when I run Boot Camp Assistant I get the following error: "Restart your computer using your computer's internal startup disk."

Searching the web, I found out that this is because the boot partition is in software RAID. So, as I see it now, if I want to install Vista on the 320GB my only options are:
  1. I install leopard on the 320GB, boot from it and use the rest of the partition for Vista (Can I merge partitions through Vista later???)
  2. I somehow find a spare SATA drive, I install Leopard on it, and use it to run Boot Camp Assistant and Install Vista on the 320GB
I find it hard to belive that there is no better way to solve my problem, so if anyone knows of one it would be really appreciated.

Thanks.
