Out of sheer curiosity, is it possible in Windows 7 to set CPU affinity on the octo Mac Pro? For instance, having one set to rendering/transcoding, while the other is set to another current active task (browsing, gaming, what have you)?

I know you can set core affinity, but I don't have a dual socket system handy at the moment to try CPU affinity, and was wondering if anyone with an octo Mac Pro has tried it.

You're better off letting the scheduler do that.

I realize that, although in some apps I've run into the problem where personally setting core affinity gives better performance. That's why I was asking.
