Hello all,

I am planning to run Windows XP on my Macbook using Boot Camp and I have not yet bought my copy of Windows XP. My question is, is it better to buy a "full purchase product" (FPP) or an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version of Windows? The OEM version is about $80 less than the FPP, but does not have Microsoft support and is really not intended for consumer use.

So, in closing, is it alright to use an OEM copy of Windows in Boot Camp for my old PC games, or should I be safe and just buy an FPP copy?

Thank you!

oem works just fine.
might not strictly meet eula - but i used oem with no regrets.
microsoft should be ashamed they are still selling XP in 2009

OEM it is then!

It certainly is a unique case, what with Windows 7 coming out soon. Why couldn't they just wait to release Vista as Windows 7?
