Boot Screen gone after Sierra update

I have EVGA GTX680 Mac Edition with boot up screen enabled.

After updating the Mac OS from El Capitan to Sierra (not High Sierra), I can't see my boot screen anymore.
Is there a reason why I can't see it anymore? Did Apple support stop on this?

Now I swapped my boot drive to El Capitan but I still can't see the boot screen anymore. So I can't even go to Safe Menu and stuff.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Maybe try a PRAM reset ( hold down P + R + Option + Command keys straight after you hit the power button - wait for the CHIME then you can let go of the keys. - I always wait for a 2nd. chime just in case . . ) and then immediately hit the Option key to see if you get the boot screen. Might work. Hope it does.

Actually you were right. I was mainly connecting my screen to displayport and I couldn’t see the screen but after hooking up to HDMI I can see the white boot screen... I don’t know why I cant see it from displayport though...

I can't answer "why" but I've seen it before...and there's a lot of evidence on the web of others experiencing the same issue.

Did you change the monitor? Is it 4k and DP set at version 1.2?
