MacBookPro13"

The boot time of my 13" Macbook Pro (2011 base model) was normally around 23 seconds, now since I downloaded and used Onyx once (all it did was check the drive for errors, I didn't do any cleaning with it) the boot up time takes around 40 seconds.

Would a re-install of the OS improve this back to around 23 seconds or what else can I do to get my snappy boot times back?

Type these commands in terminal.

sudo chown root:admin /
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches

And make a pram and smc reset.

That would fix it
