My iMac wouldnt boot up - it hung at the blue screen (pre login).

I fully powered down and restarted. This time it booted up. It displayed an error message that I could send to apple and safari had been removed from the dock!

Can anyone tell me why this happened please? Im fairly new to mac so its all a little concerning when things like this happen...

goto applications--->Safari. Double click on Safari.

Now look for Safari Icon in dock. click and hold mouse on icon for 2 seconds.

Look for wording that says Keep Icon in Dock.

Thanks. I found safari but was more concerned with why the mac wouldnt boot.

Anyone have any ideas on why this was?
