Bootable Disk Utility? Please Help

Hi- I don't have a Leopard CD on me, but, is there any Disk Utility type program that I can load on my USB stick and boot off of to help my buddy's computer out? Whether its free or free trial...?

if you need to partition you can use Gparted it works great

The hard drive won't mount and I need to run a disk check on it and see what's going on.... So I would use my techtool, but I don't have it on me right now.
