Bootable Live Linux USB iMac

Is there any possibility to create an bootable live linux usb that runs on my iMac mid2010?

Yes, with UNetbootin 🙂
Before, format your bootable device in SCHEMA MBR AND MS-DOS(FAT32) and start unetbootin select Ubuntu/ Live USB x64

it does not work? Is your iMac not booting? Or UNETbootin does not detect your bootable device ? are you pressing "alt" at boot ?

thanks for answering.No problems with unibootin and formatting.
I tried several iso’s but when booting from usb I got the menu and choose live but then several errors.

I got that once the problem with black screen with error messages, a reformat of my usb support and it works again.
if the problem persists maybe a google search for the error line?

Try balenaEtcher. This will work for sure. Easy and simple...

Same here. Two corrupted drives.

I've tried to boot from CD as well even after turning off secure boot but to no avail.

At this point I'm running Ubuntu in a VM.
