I feel like the only person in the world who's having major problems with bootcamp - mainly, that it won't work at all . I just got a 15" Macbook Pro about a week ago, and right out of the box, after downloading the latest updates, I tried running bootcamp, to limited success. It partitioned correctly and everything, and ran fine up to when i put the windows xp (sp2 included) in and restarted. However, it was here that I kept encountering errors (I tried at least a dozen times, re-partitioning each time). Sometimes, about 2 minutes into starting the Windows setup, it would say like "blah blah file was corrupt, setup could not continue" (the name of the file changed every time). Other times it would start actually installing Windows, but sometimes the cd would just pop out, and i would have to put it back in and continue installation, which worked only occasionally. One time, I thought it installed everything, but it skipped the 'install Windows Programs' step, and I found I lacked internet explorer, a lot of the windows graphics (my start menu was all messed up), and all those programs that come with Windows. Since the Apple store refuses to help, can someone PLEASE give me some tips to get this working? I'm gettin fed up with dealing with this whole deal...

Keeping it over in the Windows on Mac forum would have made it easier for some knowledgeable folks to help you.

Have you tried making a copy of the install disc. This seeems to have helped a bunch of people as it seems the Windows CD-ROMs and Mac drives may not always be compatible...
