Hey,

As the time for the new imacs is slowly approaching, i'm thinking more about things i will have to take under consideration before making the final choice(not that i haven't made it already, hehe).

Ok, no more optical drives, that's cool. However i'm intending to sell my old noisy dusty and huge pc tower, but i will most certainly still using windows 7 - just as a second option for the incompatible software i will still like to use.
So - how the bootcamp win installation process recognises the external drive?
Is it somehow different? I'm asking because there is a difference on a PC - BIOS, USB specifics etc.

And one more general question: is the bootcamp windows completely functional windows as it's on a PC? For example - i have a Splash video player which uses GPU to accelerate the playback, but it needs nVidia CUDA to do it. Will it work on a bootcamp windows? Are you supposed to install video drivers etc just as normally you would on a PC?
