BootCamp and heating issues

My 17" MBP runs very smoothly on OSX... no heat issues, no whinning, mooing, ect... under bootcamp and windows XP, it tends to run a lot hotter.... is there any reason for that? anything I can do to provide it from getting hotter while running XP?
