Hey guys

just got a brand new 27" Apple Cinema Display from 2014 with my Macbook Pro 2015 model connected with Bootcamp windows 8.1. If I use the brightness controls, it only adjusts my macbooks brightness but how to control the Cinema Display?

Also, the max resolution is set to 2560 x 1440 but I am sure I can upscale it even higher somehow. Anyone knows how?

Thanks!

There is a little tool called "Brightness Controller" that does what you are looking for. It works perfectly with my 24" Cinema Display connected to my Win10 PC.

You can get the program here: http://www.holstschumacher.dk/p/brightness-controller.html
(The latest release version is v1.44 from 2013, but there is a beta (v1.57 from 8/2015) which is much newer. I am using the beta on my system.)

Hey Shadow2k,

thanks for your help! Unfortunately, I get the following error after installing the latest beta version. I couldn't install 1.44 because it tells me I need to install Microsoft NET Framework 4.5 but when I try to install that it tells me I already have that version installed.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but downloading the 1.5.7 Beta version worked for me. I had that error when I downloaded 1.4.4, but the 1.5.7 Beta worked like a charm.

Here's the link since it's not too obvious on the page:
