Bootcamp Crisis

Hello, I've been a bootcamp user for about 6 months with no problems. Recently the startup screen stopped appearing when I held the option button during startup. I reset the default startup drive to the PC half of my Hard Drive and now I can't get either system to start up. What is my best course of action?

I assume this is the full (ie Leopard) bootcamp?

Do you have time machine backups?

No its actually the previous OS and I don't have that feature as far as I know.
