Ok so my school configured my laptop (Macbook air 11 inch)
I wanted to download windows so I can play more games
After I downloaded it from the apple store the windows wont work
when my laptop turns on I hold the option button so I can get on mac but it tells me to put in a password
Is it my schools password that only the IT department knows
because nobody has this problem
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Yes

I own the mac book air but the school configured it

does it just ask for a password or does it show your user icon on the screen.

It's either a firmware password or an ecyption/FileVault password.

Lock

It shows a lock sign the background is a light gray
and i tried putting my password but is doesn't work
Do you think the school will know the password?
because i found out that this never happened to anybody else (who doesn't have a school configured laptop)
For them it works perfectly

The school has set a firmware password, so yes, they will know it, and they most likely will not give it to you. They would not have set the password if you were the actual owner of the computer.

Try removing the RAM for at least 15 minutes and then put it back. See if that reset the Firmware password.

Yes it is my laptop but the school has configured it
