Cannot setup Windows with Bootcamp on new Macbook. I get to the Windows setup page (in bootcamp partition) but keyboard and trackpad unresponsive...so can't click the Next button. Apple support cannot help. I've got what I assume are the latest bootcamp Apple drivers (dated 3-31-15). using a purchased Windows 8.1 64 ISO which is on the macbook SSD drive. I've tried using older drivers Just cannot get Windows setup to see the keyboard or trackpad.

Windows ISO should probably be on external USB drive. I would try external wired keyboard and mouse. Just need the USB C adapter and a hub.

You're booting from a Boot Camp Assistant created USB drive or not?

with only the usb c adaptor unfortunately I have one usb available so I had to run the ISO off the SSD...that's what Apple support suggested. But I like you thinking. I'll have to buy a powered USB hub to run the Apple super drive. I could try another keyboard that way also. damn I should charge Apple.

You don't happen to have the HDMI or VGA adapter do you? Because you can daisy chain up your USB-C adapters, haha.

It worked perfectly fine for me booting from the Boot Camp Assistant created USB thumb drive just via the USB-A to USB-C adapter, keyboard and trackpad working fine in setup of Win 8.1 64-bit. Just follow the instructions to add the ISO to the thumb drive (I'm still unclear whether you've actually tried this).

I have the same issue on a 2014 Mac Mini. It's setup fine using the Apple wireless keyboard etc but once it reboots to finalise the setup it won't see the keyboard or mouse so I can't go any further. Very annoying
