Bootcamp/ keyboard backlight question....

In OSX, when I hook my rMBP to my cinema display, the backlit keyboard shuts off. However, when doing the same in Windows 7, the keyboard stays on. I confirmed this by lifting the lid very slightly. Everything is off in OSX, but in Windows the backlight is on.

Does anyone know how to make the backlighting behave the same in both OS's?
