Hey All.

I'm looking to install windows on my MBP.

I do software development, often using client hardware, and mostly a windows development platform. I have an XP desktop at home, but it is getting kinda dated, and I would like to try bootcamp out so I can have a mobile windows machine when needed.

I have a 17" MBP 2.6GHz C2D. Upgraded HD to 500BG, and RAM to 4GB.

So, couple of questions:
1. Any issues with this, or is bootcamp pretty solid at this point.
2. What version of windows is best (XP, Vista, 7). I would like to go to 7, but havent really paid much attention to it. Most shops I work at are still on XP, as well as my home machine, and I think I have another XP license somewhere....
3. If windows 7, what level, and where is a good place to pick up a reasonable priced copy (saving money is good :)

Any input appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

1. Boot Camping Windows is very solid. You will probably get better performance than your workstation at home (unless it's decked out).
2. Windows 7
3. Most likely Home Professional or Ultimate. If you know where to look you can get if for free, but you can buy OEM copies for a decent price.

Thanks for the input Shado.

If anyone knows of a decent place to pickup a copy of Windows 7, that would be appreciated.
