is anyone running Bootcamp on the MB 12"? I have a 2017 m3 that works fine. I use a test generator software I like that is no longer Mac supported, only Windows. I have a MBP 2014 13" that I plan to trade in sometime in the next year. I've used that for bootcamp when needed. The ARM macs may not have a way to run Windows. Will my 12" MB be adequate to run bootcamp for this program?

Try it and see. I don't know what your software is, but from the name it sounds like it probably doesn't require much. Is it just software for creating test papers? Can you provide a link?

If so, it'd probably run fine in a small VM as well so you wouldn't even need to install and reboot into Boot Camp.

I've used Parallels before on an old Mac with good results.

Interesting I hadn't thought of VM. My familiarity with Windows on a Mac is only parallels. I have a 2014 13" MBP and I recently bought the used 2017 MB. I think I'll keep the MB as my "iPad replacement" but will upgrade my MBP once the ARM ones come out. I'm halfway through my teaching career and really like this test generator, so I want to ensure I can keep using it.

I opted to load Bootcamp Windows last night. It seems to work just fine for my application. That frees me up to trade in my MBP when the ARM ones come out. Thanks!
