Do you have some experience with bootcamp partition formatted to exFAT and use it on windows 7 (games) on your MacBook? I read that exFAT is for flash drives but can also be used for the HDD, just I dont know how it is with long-term use HDD formatted to exFAT.

Windows 7 cannot run from exFAT. It requires NTFS on its boot drive.

You can add a separate exFAT data partition, and it should be more robust than FAT32.
