Hey.

First post here, long time lurker:)

I have a late MBP with bootcamp (Win 7 64 bit) thats running close to perfect. My problem is that I cant set the resolution any higher than 1280 x 800, as opposed to OSX where im able to get 1440 x 900 as a maximum. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thanks

Sometimes when you plug into an external display like a tv over hdmi the systems saves the resolution. I had this problem a few months back.

Follow these instructions for a quick fix.

1.Shut down your Mac.

2.Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. (You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.)

3.Turn on the computer.

4.Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.

5.Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Hope this helps,

Lachie

Did you install the Bootcamp drivers? If you already did, you may be able to download a driver direct from the video card manufacturer which will work. Which graphics card does your computer have?

@Lachlan9383, I havent had any external displays connected to the Windows partition. I´ve had this problem from the beginning when I set up my bootcamp partition.

@chrfr, Yes, I have installed the bootcampdrivers and everything else but the screenresolution is running very good. I cant remember the exact model of my graphicscard (not on my mac atm) other than its Nvidia. I´ll check it when I get back home.
